IMPLEMENTATION APPROACH - 2

Three candidate landsites for intensive campaigns have currently been

identified, in Australia, one of which (Amburla) is also well-suited for

continuous monitoring.

Opportunities for collaboration with existing campaigns are among others:

- AMT cruises and other ship-based campaigns

- OCTS, ADEOS-II and MODIS/ASTER validation

- ENVISAT validation activities, particularly MERIS

- NERC and UKMO campaigns with the UK C130
