Sciamachy: SACURA Cloud Retrieval from the University of Bremen

Clouds have an important role in the earth system, and the Semi-Analytical CloUd Retrieval Algorithm (SACURA) was developed at the Institut für Umweltphysik (IUP) of the University of Bremen in order to integrate their effects into the larger picture. Data from SCIAMACHY are processed at the IUP in Bremen and various analyses made available daily in near-real-time. The Cloud Data Archive is continuously updated with optical depth, liquid water path, cloud phase index, reflectance, effective radius, and cloud top height measurements from the Sciamachy sensor.
