Sea Ice

Satellite image mosaic of the sea between Denmark and Norway from 7 February 1996. The image is a composite of three reduced ERS-1 low resolution SAR images with a spatial resolution of 100 meters. It shows the ice conditions on the sea surface. The brightest areas are open sea, while the dark areas are newly formed grease-ice. The rougher light gray areas show the older and thicker ice areas.
